Do you ever wonder why some people succeed and others just get stuck in the struggle with life? No matter how many times they try to achieve something different, they seem destined to go around in circles.

Take Jim for example. He’s a nice enough guy, but he’s feeling a little down on his luck. He sets out every day trying to get a job without success. He’s frustrated, because he has the degree, the motivation and even dresses nicely. But interview after interview, he just falls short.

So what’s wrong with this picture? Are there simply too many people and not enough jobs? Why can’t Jim find a job? And what’s even more important, Jim is ready to settle for just about anything!

Jim needs a thought and belief overhaul.

There’s nothing wrong with Jim, except that he is being guided by some old unconscious beliefs, maybe he doesn’t believe he deserves the job, or that it’s out of his reach, or any other limiting belief.

If Jim’s conversation that he has with himself, goes something like this:

“Let’s face it Jim, you’re really not that good” or “Jim, nobody likes you”, then how will he come across in an interview?

Whatever you believe about yourself is what you create!

It’s really not that difficult, but we make it difficult. We kick and scream, blaming other people , or  saying its not fair. When you get into that headspace, its no wonder that doors keep closing – you keep creating the same experience, over and over and over….

The issue here is that you are getting in your own way, and you aren’t going to change anything by beating yourself up. This applies to every aspect of your life.

Our core beliefs develop over time as we get older, usually based on understandings we had many years ago, when we were much younger. These thoughts or understandings, as seen through a child’s eyes perpetuate through this process:

1. Something happens

2. We think about it

3. We see evidence which supports the thought

4. Add time to the equation, and….

5. the thought becomes a belief

Now this is fine if these beliefs are in sync with what you consciously want. If not, your limiting beliefs will drive you to the same poor results, again and again, and again…..
